The Chamber of Commerce from Trapani is fighting against the abolition of the Institute for oil and olive proposed by the Region of Sicily.
The president of the Chamber Giuseppe Pace, and the Aspro president, Marika Burgarella soon defended this Institute. " The loss of the Institute for oil and olive represents a serious loss for the whole sector- was the president's comment- the Institute carried on important initiatives for olive-culture in Sicily, necessary to support the consume of the oil". "Without this Institute- Marika Burgarella added- we will lack common strategies in this sector". Even the olive farmers supported the Institute with a letter addressed to the vice-president of the Regione Nicola Laenza and the Regionale responsible for Agricolture Giovanni La Via.
