International Food-show (MIA) Consumer and trends for catering
The out-of-home catering overcame in Italy 60 milliard. That is to say one/third of the national consume of food, 4.9% more than last year. Consume analysis, new trends, costs came out from the Nomisma Research " Tell me how you eat" at the opening of the International Food-Show (MIA). This show-room analyses the new food proposals from brunch to happy hour, a 500 million market per year, that is likely to be increasing. This trend , certainly wide -spread in the supermarkets, can become an interesting alternative at lunchtime. In fact this year at Rimini the first "Buyer Day" was held where the second "fast-food" generation was presented (the so-called fast- good) that is to say the possibility to provide food of good- quality, variety and preparation.
There was also a section for the bio and glutine-free food. Besides some performances about top-quality cooking were held, with some excellent chefs. At "MIA" the " yellow gold" was shown, the fourth international show room of extra-virgin olive oil. At the same time Rimini Fair ( Rimini Fiera) organized, as usual, the Saloon of the Fishing Technologies and products, Beer Planet (Pianeta Birra) dedicated to food strategies.
