Food-The best extra-virgin bio-oil is Samnite

The farm 'Masseria Venditti' from Castelvenere (in the province of Benevento) was awarded as the best extra-virgin bio-oil over 80 oil producers, coming from all over Europe, attending the first edition of the International award "Biofach", set in Nuremberg. The visitors themselves assigned the prize to Venditti after tasting the different oils participating to the concourse. The joint-stand of Campania, made by 10 enterprises of 5 provinces, was prepared by the council of Agriculture and productive activities of the region Campania. The councillor Andrea Cozzolino underlined that "this award witnesses the quality of the typical products from Campania recognized not only in Italy, but on the international markets". This German competition was attended by the traditional participants as Italy, Spain and Greece but also other European States like Cyprus and Albany, Saudi Arabia and Palestine that joined other countries like Chile and Australia.
