BRUSCHI: ice cream art from Arezzo towards the world
The king of ice-cream, Palmiro Bruschi, who was champion of ice-cream in 1994, member of the Academy of Italian ice-cream-making
in 1997, and ambassador of Italian ice-cream in the world in 2004. Palmiro Bruschi is the protagonist of the new member of
“Tuscania and Chianti news”, a monthly magazine born in 1992 and edited in three languages: Italian, English and German. Since
last March this magazine has been published with a new column entitled “Tuscany in the world”, created to give the opportunity to
share the experience, the intelligence, the knowledge of Tuscany beyond the geographic borders of this region. Leaving from San
Sepolcro, in the province of Arezzo, where Bruschi lives and works for the ice-cream shop Ghignoni, a sort of museum of ice-cream,
he exported his mastery all over the world, attending the food shows of “Bella Italia and Italian style in Melbourne, Perth,
Nizza, Canaries, Rottemburg, Miami, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Atlanta, Washington, New York, Moscow, Sao Paulo do Brazil and Dubai”, as well
as the Renaissance dinner introduced in the festival “Italy in Japan 2001” that took place at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, with
the participation of the Japanese and Italian authorities. Anyway Bruschi always comes back to his modern laboratory. Here not only
the classical tastes, but even the most traditional flavours of Tuscany, come to life through his creations. He makes the ice-cream
with Vinsanto (a typical sweet wine) or Brunello di Montalcino (a red wine); the truffle and the extra virgin olive oil are only some
of the most original ingredients he used for this ice-cream.
