Health-Sport and correct diet to fight cholesterol
The best medicine against cholesterol is right food, together with an active life even cardio-vascular diseases can be prevented. This is what comes out from the research of the Italian Centre of study on food (NFI) which in Milan presented the experts’ advices “ to support a right medicine-free control of cholesterol in our blood”. For those who run high risks of cardio-vascular diseases- the experts explain- medicines like astatines are a key-resource to control cholesterol. But when there is no specific risk, an active life and some simple food directions can be useful. It is advisable to eat some pasta, fruit, vegetables, pulses and fibre ( which support the so-called “good” cholesterol and low down the triglycerides) , and choose some poli- unsaturated fatty oils, as for example the seed-oil; the olive oil, instead, doesn’t influence cholesterol.
“Today medicines are taken into consideration. Rodolfo Paoletti ( the president of NFI and the Italian Hearth Foundation) explains- but not prevention, and this is very dangerous. Even because most people can have benefits through the medicine-free control of cholesterol”. According to the experts, 15% of the Italian population run no cardiovascular risks, and they do not need medicines against cholesterol. For this reason these people are advised to control cholesterol through a good diet and physical exercise. This life-style can drop 30% of cholesterol in our blood; furthermore these good habits could also avoid medicines.
