Export, olive oil from Sicily to Greece and “ricotta” to Russia

The “ricotta”(kind of cottage cheese) from Sicily, the olive oil from Trapani (town in Sicily), the “Merlot made of Carobs” produced between Marsala and Mazara del Vallo (little town in Sicily),the chocolate from Modica (little town in Sicily); even the wines from Marsala: these are the products that strongly impressed French, German and Australian importers; they are some of the products, made in Sicily, that are entering foreign markets. The results of the international workshop (organized by Isas-Med Europe Export of Palermo Italian Manifacturers Association) were very satisfying.
Giuseppe Noto (the president of Isas) and Grazia Gementi (Med Europe Export) reported these achievements during the press-conference. Greece, big oil producer, appreciates the quality of the olives from Sicily (hand-picked and milled when still fresh). George Papataros, a greek buyer working also in New York, purchased the whole production of oil by a farm from Trapani. A lot of oil-farms obtained commissions by the American buyers as Giuseppe Nastasi from Boston. As regards the Russian restaurant, the buyer Carmelo Inzirillo from Moscow, commissioned some lots of fresh ricotta. The buyer Rolando Melosi from Kremps Creek (Australia) made interesting orders. Finally some typical products from Sicily can be bought also in Wien and Berlin where an enterprie from Wien is founding a society together with the Isas cooperative “Spes”.
