Food: the Oil mill festival at Campello sul Clitunno

21st edition of the festival of oil mills, a food and wine but also cultural festival, focused on extra virgin olive oil, is going to take place at Campiello sul Clitunno from next Friday to next Sunday. This initiative is promoted and organized by the town council of Campello sul Clitunno with the support of producers, oil mills and cultural or social association and by the pro- loco (local association for the development of the area). The visitors will be given the opportunity to taste the local extra virgin olive oil. There will also be - as the organizers have explained - cultural activities. This festival has been presented today in the hall' Fiume' of Donini palace in Perugia; during the press conference the major from Campello, Paolo Pacifici, has explained, that this is an important initiative for the promotion of "the most important product" of this little town. "The festival will join the promotion of this product with some cultural activities that best represent our area" in the Major's words. One of the most important news of this festival is the nomination, unique in Italy, of the temple of Clitunno as Unesco world heritage. This is the symbol of the great historical and cultural heritage present in this area.
