OIL: 21 farms from Sicily in 30 restaurants of Rome, Milan, Siena

A tour with three main stops, is starting from Rome to Milan and Siena; this tour involves 21 producers of extra virgin olive oil from Sicily, who will reach ten top- restaurants in each of these cities, thanks to the project “the season of the Oil” by Enoteca Italiana and the association ‘ the cities of oil’. This is an opportunity to meet, till 30th May, the top quality oils that can be used for every kind of food or dish – as the taster Leonardo Catagnano of the Department for Agricultural and Forestry policies of the Region Sicily. The experts can taste the 30 local gourmet, a choice of the oils with the eight local cultivar coming from the six dop productions of the island. Everyone will have the opportunity to appreciate – as the expert underlined – the delicacy of an oil from Moresca or Biancolilla or the intensity of Nocellara from Belice or from Cerasuola. This is a sector in progress with the production field, which, - the assessor for the agriculture Giovanni La via affirms - the administration will support, particularly for the associations producing profits, through activities of promotion, of Sicily system and of the enterprises of the market”.
