VINITALY IN JAPAN, EXPORT 2008 GAINED OVER € 100 MLN

Vinitaly, the Italian kermesse on enogastronomy, moves also to Japan, an interesting market importing LT 18 million wine from Italy in the first seven months of 2008, one million more compared to 2007’s same period, for a value of € 6,37 million this year’s target is to overcome € 100,3 million, stealing some parts to France, first exporter. For the third time in Japan this exhibition (involving Verona fairs, the ministry for Agricolture, Buonitalia e Ice) will show 40 exhibitors (50 wine farms on the whole) and for the first time even Unaprol will take part (the Italian consort for the olive oil. Vinitaly tour in Japan, left from Tokyo, is going to be concluded in Macao, after Pechin and Shangai.
