ECONOMY: in 2010 in Tokyo Tuscany’s quality- week

A week dedicated to the quality from Tuscany, a “mission of system” particularly in the sectors of furniture, food and gifts, set in Tokyo in 2010. The commissioner for the Productive activities has presented this event meeting the demand of the Italian Ambassador in Tokyo, Vincenzo Petrope, who underlined how Japan is particularly interested in such products. According to Brenna it is important that this initiative can be regularly repeated, thus becoming an annual appointment if the farms from Tuscany have positive effects Federico Balmas (vice director in Tokyo) agrees with Brenna, “a market as the Japanese one, is to be carefully kept”. During the meeting at the Embassy, other opportunities for Tuscany have come out: “the Italian legion-the Ambassador said-that even in 2009 was the most present in this country”. There have been 23 events so far. Among these an enlargement for the olive oil market, opportunity to be developed after the request of the responsible of a multinational, the most important producer and importer of drinks in Japan; today these multinationals consider the olive oil from Tuscany with a great interest.
