Easter: all sold out in holiday farms - Oil and Dop products

Holiday farms are satisfied for the trend of the bookings for next Easter week-end: 60% of the available bedspaces - is announced - are already booked and even this year holiday resorts are likely to be sold out. The most favourite places are Tuscany, Sicily, Lombardy, Sardinia and Campania. Among the provinces: Siena, Rome, Grosseto, Florence, La Spezia and Salerno. On the whole 'Agriturist' has esteemed that probably about one hundred sixty-five thousand people will spend their holidays in a farm and that probably about one hundred eighty thousand meals will be served, at Easter and the day after Easter, that means an income of about € fifty-three million. The 20% of the guests, the association underlines, will probably come from abroad and will spend here, on the average, five days while the Italians will spend not more than three days. About one hundred sixty seven Italian products, recognized as protected designation of origin (Dop) and geographic protected indication (Igp) products, will be presented on the table for these Easter holidays; some of these products (over all extra virgin olive oil, vegetables and fruit) are produced by the holiday farms themselves.
