PRICES: San Marino: agreement for the second price decrease

The Republic of San Marino agreed a second decrease in the prices of food (-1,16%). The initiative of the government, called “Prices down” is continuing. This was made with the associations of this field and of the consumers who, from 15th July to 31st December will cut 3% the cost of 28 products (rice, pasta, flour, biscuits, coffee, olive oil). The further discount will be valid from tomorrow in the shops joining the project, which will, on their turn, have taxes reductions (-25% on the taxes for each dependent for six months). After only three months the results of the initiative have been very positive according to the government: 2% sales increase of the big food distribution in San Marino, though in the closest areas a 2-4% decrease has been recorded.
